Platinum Divas is a membership organization, not an advertising business. We collect what we need to run the club and nothing else. We do not sell your information to anyone, ever.

Who we are

Platinum Divas, a social organization based in Houston, Texas, founded in 2009. You can reach us at info@platinumdivas.org.

What we collect

When you join: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number and city. Your email is how you sign in — we never ask you to create a password and we never store one.

When you take part: which gatherings you RSVP to and how many guests you bring, photos you upload, messages you post in the Lounge or in an event thread, and your membership photo if you add one.

If you apply to host: your business name, a short biography, and what you would like to organize.

Administratively: whether your dues are paid, and your standing in the club.

What we do not collect

We do not collect payment card details. We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or cookies for advertising. We do not track you across other websites. We do not build a profile of you for marketing.

How we use it

• To sign you in and keep you signed in
• To manage seats at gatherings and let hosts know who is coming
• To email you when a new gathering is posted, and occasionally about your membership
• To show your name and photo to other members in the Lounge, the albums and event threads
• To show approved organizers on our public About page — only if you have agreed to it, and only your name, photo, blurb and pillar. Never your email or phone

Who can see what

Members can see other members’ names, photos, posts and photos shared with the club.

Visitors who are not signed in can see event titles and dates but not locations, and can see approved organizers who have opted in. They cannot see the member list, the Lounge, or anyone’s contact details.

Leadership can see the full member roster including contact details and dues status, in order to run the organization.

Who we share it with

Three service providers, and only so the site can function:

• Supabase — stores our database and photos, in the United States
• Resend — delivers our emails
• Netlify — hosts the website

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We would only disclose it if required by law.

How long we keep it

For as long as you are a member, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Photos you have shared with the club remain in the gallery unless you ask us to remove them.

Your choices

• Your photo — add, change or remove it any time from your membership page
• The About page — organizers can switch their public profile off at any time
• Your posts and photos — you can delete your own
• Emails — every announcement can be unsubscribed from, and you can ask us to stop
• Your account — email us and we will delete it, along with your personal details

Children

Platinum Divas is for adults. This site is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

Your information is held in an access-controlled database. Sign-in is by emailed link rather than a password, so there is no password of yours for anyone to steal. The site is served over an encrypted connection.

No system is perfect. If we ever learned of a breach affecting your information, we would tell you.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell members if the change is significant.
